The Coalition consists of the Steering Committee, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Greater Boston Legal Services, Boston Center for Independent Living and the New England Jewish Labor Committee.
Attorney General Maura Healy and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office (AGO) advocate and provide resources for the people of Massachusetts including protecting consumers, combating fraud and corruption, investigating and prosecuting crime, and protecting the environment, workers, and civil rights.
Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) are attorneys and paralegals that provide free legal advice and representation to low-income families and individuals. GBLS’ mission is to provide systemic advocacy in order to help families secure some of the most basic necessities of life.
The New England Jewish Labor Comittee is the voice of the Jewish community in the labor movement and the voice of the labor movement in the Jewish community. The New England Jewish Labor Committee enables the Jewish community and the trade union movement to work together on important issues of shared interest and concern, in pursuit of a shared commitment to economic and social justice.
Boston Center for Independent Living (BCIL) is a frontline civil rights organization led by people with disabilities that advocates to eliminate discrimination, isolation and segregation by providing advocacy, information and referral, peer support, skills training, PCA services, and transitional services in order to enhance the independence of people with disabilities.
